to heaven... duh.
Actually, point of clarification. Catholics believe He descended into Hell, and raised up the souls of those deserving saints who were trapped there until His resurrection, and they were resurrected with Him. Part of the Nicene Creed, the Apostles' Creed, and long understood in the faith. This is partly why He was so longed for, because that is how He defeated death. They go further to state this naturally included His stepfather, Saint Joseph, whom He loved, who then entered into Heaven ahead of Him. Jesus appeared on Earth for another 40 days to individual witnesses, the apostles, others of His followers, even crowds of people, until He Ascended bodily into Heaven. Eventually the Holy Family was reunited in Heaven with the Assumption of Holy Mary, His mother, at the age of 72, now reigning as Queen of Heaven.
Understand, "saints" are everyone in Heaven, whether famous, or not. The famous saints go through a long process of first beautification, then sainthood, and have to have performed miracles on Earth. Martyrs die for the faith.
Well, Jesus didn't really get lost. Mary and Joseph just didn't know where He was.
They found Him in the temple in Jerusalem, although it is doubtful He spent the whole time there.
He was in the Temple in Jerusalem at the age of 12. Jesus did not consider himself lost, he just had to be doing the 'work of his father.'
No where. He was just hanging on the cross with the other 2 men.
no because Jesus rose from the dead after 3 days after his crucifiction
he rose from the dead in 3 days.
3 days
Well, according to the Bible, God (the Father) made creation in 7 days. Jesus rose from the dead in 3 days...
nowhere does it say Jesus Christ is dead AFTER three days, but it does say he rose from the dead on the 3rd day
Not in the physical sense. It is thought that he descended to hell and destroyed death's power during the 3 days he was dead, although this is speculation.
Because Jesus died on the cross and after 3 days he rose from the dead.
There are several events that are mentioned in the Bible that lasted for 3 days. For example, Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead 3 days later.
No, but the number 3 is very common in the Bible such as Peter denying Jesus 3 times, Jesus rose from the dead 3 days later, etc.
Yes.
No where does Messiah Yeshua/Jesus say mourn for the dead, He said: Let the dead bury the dead: Matthew 8:22 & Luke 9:60 But Yeshua/Jesus said to him, Follow Me; and let the dead bury their dead. Lazarus was dead 4 days and Messiah was dead 3 days and we know they mourned for HIM. Matt.9:15 Messiah says :Can the children of the bridechamber mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But nowhere does He say Mourn for the Dead. Sorry,The Jews mourn their dead.Messianic Rabbi Tom
