Avogadro came up with what we know as Avodgadro's number. The idea is that at a specific temperature and pressure, equal volumes of two gases will contain the same number of atoms or molecules. This idea was the basis for relative molecular masses, i.e. ways to compare samples that have different atomic masses using the number of atoms or molecules in the sample.

Avagadro created the basic unit in chemistry, called the mole, which is defined as the number of atoms it takes to make 12 grams of carbon. It is used to compare various substances (atoms and molecules).

Avogadro is one of the those scientists who made important contributions to the basics

of Chemistry. We are already familiar with Avogadro's constant(6.022*1023)

which is the measurement of no. of atoms or molecules in one mole of a substance.

Another important contribution was Avogadro's law which states that " Equal volume of all

gases contain equal no. of molecules under similar conditions of temperature and pressure.
