Actually the diagram for the serpentine belt installation should be on a sticker under the hood. Possibly on the underside of the hood or on the radiator support.

I would start by taking a trip to your local auto parts store or large bookstore and purchase a Haynes or Chiltons repair manual for you Ford Contour. They are on average $25 for the manual, but they will almost always answer any questions pertaining to your car.
