World of Warcraft lore can be found at the official World of Warcraft website, along with other sites, but it is a good place to start. On the official site they have the history and lore of the Warcraft Universe.

I would recommend either Terrokar Forest, Nagrand, or Blade's Edge Mountains. Nagrand quests really start to get good at level 65
If you really want to make some good money on World of Warcraft, the best way to get it is to just level. Once you level to about 50, you can sell heaps of items that you get off monsters to the auction house. You'll make loads.
grizzly hills are located just to the right of icecrown in northrend. it is a very good place to level up around 73-74 after tundra. you can gear up fast and the xp is quite reasonable for the simplicity of the quests. for level 80's it is also a very good place for daily quests.
Mine cobalt ore in Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord. The areas are loaded with it.
