These are a real pain to change.It is underneeth the exhaust manifold.Drain the anti-freeze into a clean container so you can reuse it.On the back of the engine take off the heat shield (3 bolts,spray them with wd-40). Look down through the manifold you will see two 8mm screws looking up at you. Remove those two.Then, underneeth the car you will see a flat looking pipe that has 1 bolt connecting it to the oil pan.Remove that and the pipe will be loose enough to remove the thermostat.
