In Pokemon Platinum, you can find the Adamant Orb as a Itemball in the waterfall room on Mt. Coronet. (You will see the waterfall room as you make your way up to Spear Pillar.) At the top of the waterfall, you will see the entrance to a cave. As soon as you get HM Waterfall, you can climb up and go inside the cave.
Inside, you'll see a rock and two Itemballs on either side. The one to the left is the Adamant Orb. The rock in the middle has a hidden item: Stone Plate. The Itemball to the right is the Lustrous Orb.
As for Pokemon Diamond, you will get the Adamant Orb on Spear Pillar.
You cannot get the Adamant Orb in Pokemon Pearl. Instead, you'll receive the Lustrous Orb on Spear Pillar.
