If the scriptures are correct, then it was during the three days after his death. Remember he said that he would "rebuild this temple in three days" The temple referring to his body. The fact that he was resurrected is the important issue here. A resurrection is the reuniting of the body and the spirit.

AnswerInside the Sepulcher (tomb) were he was buried. AnswerDon't doubt the Word of God, as Satan did that, and where is he now?

Christ was on the cross for over 9 hours (I believe) and buried in a tomb that was borrowed from a rich man. He was in the tomb for 3 days and 3 nights, as Jonah was in the belly of the whale, which is one reason which could easily explain why the sign of the fish is connected with Christ and His followers.

He resurrected Himself, leaving His grave clothes (the same type in which He was wrapped as a child) EXACTLY the way they were as if He were still wearing them, meaning that His body was translated out of them, supernaturally.

The angel outside did not resurrect Him, but merely opened the tomb so that others could look in, not so that Christ could get out, for the grave clothes posed no more difficulty than the gigantic stone boulder itself. Just to avoid any possible doubts or misconceptions, Christ's resurrected body was not in any way hindered at all from any earthly thing, such as walls, doors, clothes, as all that He did (in His earthly and spiritual body) He did with a purpose without any "snags", for He was and still is the Son of God.

AnswerAll four gospel accounts record basically the same details as below. See Matthew 27:57-60, Mark 15:42-46 and Luke 23:50-54. John has the additional detail for his readers that the tomb, which all four accounts record belonged to Joseph of Arimathaea, was near a garden, which incidentally explains Mary thinking that the resurrected Jesus was the gardener. John 19:38-41 (King James Version)38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. 39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight. 40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury. 41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid. The exact location, while no doubt known to the writers was certainly not as important as the fact of the resurrection itself. This may also have been partly deliberate as Christians serve a risen and living Savior, not a tomb 'sacred site'. In any case, it is clear that He arose from the same place in which He was buried, as they all went to 'the sepulchre' on that resurrection morning (see the verses immediately following all the ones cited above) and obviously the writers saw no point in explaining it all over again that this was Joseph's tomb etc.

Joseph's garden tomb was obviously near to the place of crucifixion because the body had to be dealt with quickly to avoid running into the start of the Sabbath. Crucifixions took place outside of the city itself.

he is a son of god .
