We're all different, and our eyes will respond differently to 3D images - so there's no guarantee that any 3D TV will not be harmful - though when we say harmful it's unlikely that anyone would experience long term issues. More likely some short term dizziness or nausea can be expected for a minority of people, as long as common sense is applied and you don't watch excessive amounts.

3D TVs can make you sick if you watch it too much, and it is the worst for the children who watch over six or seven hours a day. However It depends on which 3D technology that 3D TV uses. I heard Cinema 3D TV is more comfortable for your eyes and less harmful than active SG sets because it is flicker and crosstalk free 3D.

Any 3D television bought today should be flicker free including Samsung. The best way to find out is to experience a range of brands and models. Believe your eyes rather than the LG claim that all other 3D televisions have flicker. Also believe your eyes when you see that the effective resolution of LG 3D is only half that of their competitors.

3D television isn't considered to be harmful although some people tolerate it better than others. Wearing glasses and watching 3D images can be uncomfortable for some people. In those cases, simply stop watching for a while. Before buying a 3D television, make sure that you have properly experienced several models. Not only bad for your eyes, but bad for your health as well. The 3d effect is created by forcing your eyes focus to cross in an unnatural way. This causes muscle fatigue and may after an extended period of time cause permanent damage.

My Kids are fond of playing 3D Games but I am seriously considering about their eyes So is there any Glasses which are free from eyes effect.?

While there is no evidence to support the idea of long term harm from 3D television, the general opinion seems to be that it is wise to limit children's exposure to 3D television. This advice is for all 3D technologies but it is always a good idea to monitor your kids while they are watching 3D.

Why do you get crosstalks with 3D TV and how do you prevent it?

If you're getting crosstalks, you probably have an active 3D TV. Active 3D TVs use shutter glass technology. The images are sent to each lens of the 3D glasses one at a time. Only one of your eyes is supposed to see the image at a time but sometimes both of your eyes see the same image at the same time. This creates a duplicate of an image.

Are there any unhealthy side-effects to 3D TVs?

Some viewers find watching 3D television uncomfortable because of the weight of the glasses or simply because the 3D effects can sometimes be disturbing. Those who experience discomfort should stop watching but other than that, there is no evidence to suggest that watching 3D television is harmful. Note that there are two types of 3D technology available. Passive 3D uses polarized light to deliver images to the left and right eye continuously. Active 3D switches between the left and right eyes. Both have been reported to cause discomfort but if you cannot tolerate one, take a look at the other and see which suits you best.
