Sidney Alton Ponson [b. November 2, 1976] is a starting pitcher with the Kansas City Royals. He was born in Noord, Aruba. On March 17, 2009, he signed a minor league deal to play for the Kansas City Royals. In 2004 he was knighted in the Netherlands' Order of Orange-Nassa, along with fellow Aruban ballplayers Eugene Humphrey Kingsale [b. August 20, 1976] and Calvin Gregory Maduro [b. September 5, 1976].
