Plankton consists of any drifting organisms (animals,plants,archaea or bacteria) that inhabit the pelagic zone of oceans, seas or other bodies of fresh water. They provide a crucial source of food, to more familiar aquatic organisms such as fish.

It depends on the size, a dolphin can be killed or eaten by a shark if its small enough and a beluga can be eaten by many things. But a humpback whale is undescructable except to humankind
