Most definitely. The closer to Northland the more depressed you get, if it doesn't rain it's cloudy, we called our city WhangaRAIN, the real name is Whangarei.

But we've had one good winter over the last 7 years and a couple of good summers too. It also depends where you come from, if you come from a rain forest then NZ is dry but if you come from Ethiopia then NZ might look like the end of the world.
