Adult Male Walruses reach sexual maturity as early as 7 years but typically dont get to mate until they are around 15 years old. Females on the other hand reach maturity between 4 to 6 years. Breeding occurs between January to March. Males compete for mating rights and the stronger and bigger males win over the smaller and younger ones. Calves are born during Spring between April to June.

it is kinda like humans do it if. they get on top of another walrus a female and well do it really it is kinda weird to talk about it but i am only doing this so you know and don't have to ask.the weird thing is they always do it underwater. almost every animal mates, animals that do not mate like snails don't have to but they can they don't have to because when they are born they have the same genes both male and female so they can have babies without needing to mate. But like when snails do mate they really do it. they send like spears from their body to hit the other snail witch really hurts the snail then they get on top of the female. this mating can go on for like six hours.if you want to ask more just ask i am very happy to help you so you know about it and don't have to ask other people.PS if you have any more questions on how animals mate i would be happy to tell you.

A walrus has a calf just the way we do.

Male Walruses, called bulls, mate with females in the water. The female is pregnant (in gestation) for about 15 months! When she finally does give birth, it happens on land or on solid sheets of ice.

Walruses are warm-blooded, hairy mammals just like us. Although they look different, they give birth in the very same way as humans. The walrus fetus develops in the uterus of the walrus. When it has reached the final stage of development, it gets pushed out of the birth canal. Then Voila! a baby walrus calf emerges!

As with all mammals, it's the female of the species that gets pregnant.
