I have heard a team of people in Russia took 24 years to get 12 km, but I don't know if my science teacher is believable. In 2005 a team of scientist were able to get through the earth's lower crust (about 4400 feet below the seafloor).

Absolutely not. Humans do not even have the technology to withstand the heat that would accompany digging too deep into the crust. And the earth only gets hotter and more pressurized inside. Imagine an apple right now. Pretend that apple is the earth. The skin of that apple is thicker than the crust on the earth. In all of scientific research and exploration, we have not broken the skin of that apple. So, no... no one has reached the core.
