Liquid crystals were studied by many people for some 80 years before they were successfully applied to information display during the 1960s. George H. Heilmeier was inducted in the National Inventors Hall of Fame and credited with the invention of Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs). Many others have worked over the years since to understand liquid crystals better and to improve LCDs.
Friedrich Reinitzer (Austrian Botanist and Chemist): In 1888, discovered the first liquid crystal in cholesterol, extracted from carrot.
Richard Williams: In 1962, generated stripe-patterns in a thin layer of liquid crystal material by the application of a voltage. This effect is based on an electro-hydrodynamic instability forming what is now called "Williams domains" inside the liquid crystal.
George Heilmeier: Between 1964 and 1968, at the RCA David Sarnoff Research Center in Princeton, New Jersey, a team of engineers and scientists led by George Heilmeier with Louis Zanoni and Lucian Barton, devised a method for electronic control of light reflected from liquid crystals and demonstrated the first liquid crystal display.
James Fergason: Inventor, James Fergason holds some of the fundamental patents in liquid crystal displays filed in the early 1970's, including key US patent number 3,731,986 for "Display Devices Utilizing Liquid Crystal Light Modulation"
In 1972, the International Liquid Crystal Company (ILIXCO) owned by James Fergason produced the first modern LCD watch based on James Fergason's patent.
It was predicted that by 2010 50% of TV sales will be LCD TVs.
Yes. As long as the output is VGA. There is no difference in the standard between CRT and LCD.
A B grade LCD monitor is typically a unit that has some sort of defect with the panel. The most common defect are stuck pixels. Other issues may be un-even backlighting or noticable flaws with the LCD panel itself. But the unit will still function with these defects.
2 chords mainly ,. A and D,. feel free to improvise
Its not working, switched off, or the LCD plasma screen is damanged in someway.....
first lets start where lcd's where invented: they where invented by Hans lcd who was king of timbuktoo and gave them to the rest of the world by military force
It was invented at Hull University

LCD TVs were initially meant for the portable market because they did not consume as much battery. The first commercially available LCD was made by Casio in 1983.
An LCD (Liquid crystal display) monitor.

I don't know exactly who or when exactly they invented it. But I know that LCD screens have been around for quite a while. Remember all those little hand-held pocket TVs? they all have LCD screens, and they have been around for quite a while, way before regular home LCD TVs become popular with the advent of HDTV.
An LCD panel is actually a LCD screen that is part of your computer monitor or LCD Television. There are different types of screens such as plasma as well, but to answer your question, an LCD panel is the LCD screen on your monitor or television (provided it is an LCD model).
