Charles Darwin was a wealthy naturalist head set ship in mid 1800's on the HMS beagle. he studied the galapagose islands and the variations between iquanas and reseasoned that they were descedents of the south American iguanas. Charles Darwin is famous for the theary of evolution by natural selection whish means survival of the fittests. the oragnisms that are best adapted to the environments will live longers survive and reproduce. he also thearized geographical isolation which means organisms changed becasue they were sepperation by a land form like a volcana and after being separated for so long they became an entirely new species
