What kind of person is Percy Jackson?

Perseus "Percy" Jackson is the protagonist of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. He is considered a "half-blood" or a "demigod" because he is his mother is mortal and his father is the Greek god Poseidon. Because his father is Poseidon, god of the ocean and horses, he has several superhuman abilities. For instance, he can control water and speak to horses.

During his adventure throughout the Percy Jackson books, he travels with several of his friends, like Annabeth Chase, Grover Underwood, Nico and Bianca di Angelo, and others.

In the first book, The Lightning Thief, Percy is 12 years old. Throughout the series, he goes on quests with friends and some never return with him. Each book has its own thing that makes it exciting and full of action. By the end of the series, Percy is faced with the hardest decision of life. A child of the big three, ( Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades) will turn 16 and fulfill the prophecy which will either help the gods or destroy them. His overprotective mother, Sally Jackson, keeps him near her though in fear that if he is sent to the only safe place for demigods - Camp Half-Blood, he will never return to her. When a Minotaur attacks Percy, his mother, and his best friend Grover the satyr, he is brought to the camp.

At the camp he is trained to fight, gets a weapon, and then is sent on his first quest to save the world from World War III because Zeus's master bolt was stolen.

In each book Percy goes on new quests which included saving children of Hades, saving satyrs from romantic Cyclopes, and much, much more. In the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series there are five books...
