US $2 silver certificates were last printed in the 19th century.

  • 1886 series: a portrait of General Winfield Scott Hancock
  • 1891 series: Treasury Secretary William Windom*
  • 1896 series: Inventors Robert Fulton and Samuel Morse
  • 1899 series: President George Washington

None of the $2 bills printed in the 20th and 21st centuries were silver certificates. Since 1928 they've had a portrait of Thomas Jefferson on the front.

(*) Yes, he is the great-grandfather of the actor with the same name.
