Tamara De Treaux played the title character in walking scenes- a remote control robot or animated model was used with most of the action involving E.T. and Elliott. Miss De Treaux died in l99l/ There was no (actor in the robot) as some have suggested but Miss DeTreaux obviously had an E.T. costume for walking scenes.
