At 10 year old Monet went to Le Havre secondary school of the arts. His first drawing instruction was with Jacques-Francois Ochard. At about the age of 15 the artist Eugene Boudin became his mentor and friend. There were lots of other artists that contributed to Monets education but these were the first.
