The home front was the name given to Britain during ww2. It was called so because despite there being no enemy soldiers there there was a lot of fighting and damage caused by bombing. there were many new laws enforced like the black out and the civilian population had to take part in more military jobs like firefighting, Anti Aircraft batteries etc.
