I am familiar with several languages - English (native tongue), French, German, Russian, Latin, some Italian; and (Castilian) Spanish, and I can honestly say that Spanish is by comparison far from complicated, It is essentially phonetic, so that reading it out loud is quite easy after some study, and spelling is fairly simple. The structure of the language inclines to economy and simplicity, and although case and gender can be a problem for English-speakers, again by comparison with the other languages mentioned, it is a model of simplicity.
Like any (foreign) language, there are difficulties when the popular version of the language, as against the formal kind is used, mainly because of slang phrases, idioms, cultural and subcultural references, etc., which you either know or don't know and are less related to the structure of the language, but this is the case in most other tongues.

Las mujeres son complicadas. You will notice that in Spanish, there are many instances of the definite articles for "the" (el, los, la, las) that we would consider to be extraneous in English. A Spanish speaker, for example, when asked to say "women are complicated" many times will revert to Spanish grammar, and say "the women they are complicated", which is the literal translation of "Las mujeres son complicadas".

The translation would depend on the object of what is complicated. The translation would be "Tu ______ complicada (female) / complicado (male)" Your complicated machine = Tu maquina complicada. "You're Complicated" (You are complicated) is translated as "Tú eres complicada / complicado." The formal translation is "Usted es complicada / complicado" Notice the tilde/accent over the u in Tú. Tu=your Tú=you
