Why are many people becoming more and more poor?

Pople can become poor in many different ways. Right now would probably be because the economy is low and not many places are hiring and people that do work have gotten less hours of work, so that means less money. Another thing would be education. Some poeple don't finish High School and get a diploma so less people hire them.

Sometimes becoming poor comes from a long line of bad choices and/or bad luck when it came to financial decisions. However, when people are born into poverty it seems like the bad luck starts at birth. Most poverty stricken areas are also low opportunity areas where a good education is either very hard to attain or just too expensive. Most people who live in low opportunity areas lack the resources and ability to acquire education and so they have no idea what it takes to be successful. Of course, this has an effect on generations to come because if you don't know about education and how lack of it is detrimental to success how could you possibly teach your kids and their kids that education is the key. That means continued poverty unless something changes. Poverty is very easy to achieve but very difficult to get out of. Poverty could very well be the fault of our so-called "forefathers". Consider this:

• If you give a man a fish he will eat for a day.
• If you teach a man how to fish he will eat for a lifetime.
• If you turn your back on him he may struggle and starve.

Another Perspective

Impoverished people in extremely poor regions of the world reproduce at an alarming rate in areas that cannot sustain them. They must rely on charitable assistance from other countries and international organizations. As a result, poverty in some areas is inevitable as long as the indigenous population is sustained which it must be for humanitarian reasons. In some countries millions of people live in poverty.
