Organ transplants save lives (and normally one donor can save more than one life). Organ transplants also provide employment for many people in the medical sector (surgeons, transplant co-ordinators, nurses, drug companies, to name but a few). Transplants also allow interesting medical discoveries to occur, furthering what is actually known about the human body.
