Scavengers are an important part of the food web because they clean up the environment. Imagine a lion which is a carnivore hunts its prey and is feasting on it, they only eat the good parts they do not eat every part of the animal. They leave the rest of the animal to decompose. The scavenger comes along like a hyena and will eat the remains of the dead animal. Less dead animals rotting in the Earth the better the environment is.
Decomposers break up the dead bodies of living things
Heterotrophs are organisms that uses organic compound as its source of food whereas detritivores are organism that uses organic waste as its source of food.
Decomposers are differrent from producers because producers make their own food and decomposers break down the remains of dead organisms or animal wastes and consumes or absorbes the nutrients.
Decomposers
Organisms that break down wastes an dead organisms and return the raw material to the environment are called decomposers.
i have no clue what the answer is i really hope sombody can answer this question
Decomposers are important because they break up waste and dead material.
detritus , which is the food for detritivores
Producer ---> 1st consumer ------> 2nd, 3rd, 4th consumer etc. Possibly decomposers if its a food web or cycle
detritus , which is the food for detritivores
Three types of heterotrophes are: humans, alligators and fish. Plants are autotrophes which means they produce their own food within their body. If you compare the three heterotrophs I listed above, then they all consume (or eat) different types of food and capture them in different ways.
Heterotrophic bacteria are some of the principle decomposers of organic matter.
This is whyIt helps keep producers, consumers, and decomposers not extinct.
