Muslim prayer is a process of standing, bowing, and kneeling. Chairs would become a hindrance in such a case.

However, elderly that find it hard to sit on the floor or perform any of the above actions use a chair. Most mosques have chairs available upon request. These are usually the standard foldable or stackable chair, and is put away not and required, also prayer gives us lesson of unity and quality so if there are chairs for some persons so it is against quality but ill persons are allowed to have this type of facility.

It is the Islamic tradition that Mosques are covered with carpets for Muslims to sit upon. There are some Chairs for people who can't pray while standing up. Mosques also include libraries and shelves for books.

Actually, there are seats in the mosque, the floor. This clean, open floor space allows Muslims to perform prayers as the Prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him performed them.

This clearly depends on the religion. Russian Orthodox churches do not have seats because everyone stands throughout the service. Mosques do not have seats because prayers involve standing, kneeling and prostration. Modern churches and synagogues have seats because people sit through most of long services, standing up for only certain prayers and hymns.
