"Traffic lights are the colors just so so deal with it"
actually they implimented this because normally red would equal danger and green equals "all set" "ready", just like fire is hot.
The lights mean different things. The green one means it's safe to go. The amber one means get ready to go and the red one means don't go or stop. :) The green means you can go if the road is clear ! The Amber means stop! The red means stop!
Flashing red lights may be permanent or temporary (e.g. when the programmed sequence fails).A flashing red light means STOP, then proceed when safe.If it is a 4-way flashing red, cross traffic will also stop, and the intersection becomes identical to one with stop signs. This is a safety feature in some programmed signals. If only one direction has the flashing red (such as a road that intersects a busy highway), the traffic entering the highway must stop, and never has the right-of-way.* Some international traffic signals use a flashing red in place of steady red, to attract the attention of drivers where there is a profusion of commercial lights.
A traffic light tells us if it is our turn to go or not. When it's green you can go when it's red you cant go.
Yes. Red means stop, obviously, and it is on top so you can see it from further away. If you are cresting a hill for example, you can see the top of the traffic light before the bottom which gives you more warning that you need to stop. Traffic lights are all the same to that people who are color blind still know what the light is indicating.
They change colors to show you what to do on the street. Green means go and that everything is O.K., Yellow means slow down and warns you that you will have to stop soon, red means stop and that it is not safe to keep going, flashing yellow lights are ment to tell you to slow down and be careful, and red flashing lights are meant to be used as a stop sign were you have to wait for others to pass to be able to get through it's also a warning sign for high traffic.
You stop ! The blinking red indicates the lights are about to change to green for the traffic.
Red, yellow, and green. Green means go. Red means stop and yellow means slow down.
Stop.
There are three types of traffic lights viz., red ,yellow, green. While red signals dead stop, the yellow signals slow movement and green signals free movement. The traffic signals are shown by green arrows, depicting movement of traffic like, right hand, left hand or straight forward.
Orange, which means slow down, the traffic light will change to red (stop) soon. Most people would call it Amber.
Yellow, then red is the patterns of the traffic lights.
