I would check the inside of his mouth and his cage for things that he should not be chewing on, or swallowing. Guinea pigs can not vomit at all, so hiccupping would be a sign of abnormal breathing, or a reaction to something in his mouth. Also does he have any other drainage in his lungs or anywhere else that accompanies the hiccups? Hiccups can be from Upper Respiratory Infections, because the drainage restricts normal breathing. If he has any plastic, or wooden toys that he has been chewing on, remove them, and see if that helps, he could be trying to eat material like that. Let me know if you have any more questions. wen its choking on something yea but if its coughing for no good reason then yes something is rong with her/him
I just read its because they don't have that part of the brain to throw up. I'm not sure if its true but I just read it. :) Hiccups is swallowing too much air.
Yes ferrets can get the hiccups. It's actually pretty common especially in young ferrets.
Yes they can so don't get worried if you hear your guinea pig making hiccuping noises
Ferrets can get hiccups, they can also burp and belch.
Yes, they can.
Yes, if you breathe them in
It depends on what type of guinea pig you have. It will vary.
yes
Indeeed
Yes
your guinea pig should be fine if the glue was non-toxic and is acting normal
NO it should be yellow
Average respiratory rate for a guinea pig is normally from 40 to 150 breaths per minute.
Yes, its quite normal. Most of the time it is males that get hay or straw stuck there. You could just pull it out for the guinea pig to be more compfortable.
you have to put the guinea pig in a cage and feed it with the guinea pig food and just be normal
Not if a guinea-pig eats it, as you have put in the question. It's okay if a guinea-pig chews a piece of fabric, because it will grind their teeth down, which is a good thing.
I feed my guinea pigs normal guinea pig food from the pet store, but for a little variety i give them letups, carrots and apples for a treat.
