∙ 13y agoGeorge Washington hated political parties due to the fact that they divided the nation and that they evoked hatred towards other people who were on the side of the opposing political. He wanted peace and unity, not division and anger.

∙ 8y agoWashington stated that political parties would take over the political process and would grow to only be concerned about their needs and not those of the common good. He was right. If you analyze the political process today the parties are concerned with their own needs and not those of the country or the common good. This is why they can not get things done.
