Jesus said if you've seen me, you've seen the Father. This existential idea is hard for some to grasp. But Jesus is all God and all man all at once. And if you have accepted that He died for you personally, then you have another part of God (the Holy Spirit) living in you.
Jesus (Son of Man), while he was on earth, worshiped The Father (God in Heaven). Christ was and is God.

Another answerWhile here on earth He worshiped His Father because one of the things He came to do, other than die for our sins, is to show us how to live. For example, why do you think Jesus was baptized? He had no sins to confess and repent. But He did it to serve as our Example, so that we may live as He lived.
Furthermore, by Him living a life totally dependent on God the Father, and also worshiping Him, He showed us how we should worship God. Now that He has finished this work and gone back to heaven to return to His rightful position next to the Father, He expects us to worship Him and the Father the same way He worshiped the Father while on earth.
