Kentucky has many attractions; both man-made and natural. There are many beautiful state parks, and lovely views statewide. The Lake Cumberland area in south-central Kentucky covers 10 counties and offers camping, swimming, boating and lots more. Kentucky is also the home of the world's largest cave; Mammoth Cave. Cumberland Falls, also in the south-central part of the state, is a very large and beautiful water falls with camping and picnic areas. Cumberland Falls is known for its Moon Bows, which are like rainbows and can be seen at night. Last, but definitely not least, are the many beautiful horse farms, horse parks and horse racing, as Kentucky is known as the Thoroughbred state and home of the world-famous Kentucky Derby. Kentucky is a great place to visit in late autumn because of it's tree-covered mountains and hillsides, which are ablaze with vibrant colors at that time of year.
