Because I learned Leonardo da vinci began projects and later just abandoned them.
Because he had so many subjects that interested him so instead of doing what did not amuse him he did things that he wanted to do.Leonardo was both a perfectionist and a procrastinator. He was fascinated with practically everything on the world so imagine him thinking "OK, gotta do this painting on The Mona Lisa, but oh my gosh look at the birds! I think I'm gonna study the flight of birds now!" He would leave most of his work unfinished to go study something else. He pretty much wanted to learn everything about the world.
I am not sure this is the case. Click the link below to see all his known paintings.
In this list 2 are marked as unfinished, which I do not find a remarkably great number.
That is a question which has bothered historians for centuries.
He wanted to solve a problem or express an idea. This done, no use spending time on it any more. And he got bored with his work so he moved on.
Were they?
da vinci went to Studio of Andrea del Verrocchio
No Leonardo didnt have any sisters. It was just him and his parents
It is not possible to say exactly where Leonardo was when making this or any other sketch. The thing is: All his inventions were made in his sketchbooks, not in any sort of mechanical workshop.
He did not have any children by blood. But he did adopt a child named Salai. At that time is was common for young boys to be placed under the apprenticeship of master artists / workmen. Leonardo himself had been apprenticed to Verrocchio at about 12. "Salai" or "Salaino" means the "unclean one" or "little demon". Leonardo gave this name to Gian Giacomo Caprotti after he realized just how mischievous the child was. This child was 10. A few years later he was also asked to educate Count Francesco Melzi (age 14). Both stayed with Leonardo until his death at age 67. Some historians believe Da Vinci was homosexual and had been arrested at age 24 for sodomy with a 17 year old known male prostitute. He spent two months in jail and was acquitted. This may have convinced him to either live a celibate life or discreetly conduct relationships with same sex partners privately. Police records from the time reveal the prevalence of gay Florentine relationships during that period. It is believed his wards might have been his lovers.
Yes, and the symbol for man is an upside down V, which creates a star we have been taught was Davids although he didnt have a symbol.

leonardo da vinci was amazing he was a scientist artist inventor anatomist and musician he is most famous for painting the mona lisa and he was the first person to create an airplane it didnt fly but studies have shown that if he had worked on it more it would have flown. he also painted the last supper.
Leonardo's father (Piero) was from a good family that had money. They were a family of notaries. which was kind of like a lawyer back then. Leonardo's mother (Caterina) was just a servant girl who worked at the house of Leonardo's grandparents. Piero da Vinci had to marry someone in the same social standing as he, not a pauper girl. Social standing was something very important during the Renaissance times.
No, he had a special relationship with his students and he didnt have a wife.
