He got more votes. I think the whole election is a reflection of the disatisfaction of the people with the current administration. Rand Paul is a better-looking, more personable , younger representative of the independent values his father Ron Paul, always expressed. Rand Paul built on the support of his father's staunch but relatively small band of supporters from years past. In this current economic climate, people want to give the independent-minded Republicans a chance to see if they can make the REAL improvements Mr Obama promised, and so far has not delivered. If our new election picks do not deliver as promised, no doubt they will be out on the tide of the next general election.
