- As long as he is not a minor then he probably just loves you, but because there is a fair age gap between the two of you it is better to wait a little longer before you accept the engagement ring. Often very young men (under 30) are quite smitten with the fact an older woman loves them and they become fuzzy headed. Give it a little more time (perhaps 4 more months) and then consider the marriage proposal. There is nothing wrong with a woman marrying a younger man as long as he is not a minor.
