Among many other striking discoveries in Jerusalem, Emperor Constantine's mother, Helena, claimed to have found the exact places of Jesus' crucifixion and his burial within surprisingly close proximity. Also surprisingly, this was at the vry location of an important pagan temple, and possibly another small temple nearby. She had the temples demolished and the site excavated, before constructing the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The excavation was partly to enable the construction of the magnificent new church but also, intentionally or otherwise, had the result of removing an important pagan temple.
The church has a long history of repair and restoration, sometimes requiring excavation. During the period 1973 to 1978, excavations associated with restoration work took place within the building. It was found that the area had formerly been a quarry, but it seems that no evidence exists of the tomb that so excited St Helena.
Jerusalem
The Church of the Holy Sepulcher was significant to the Jews because Jesus himself was Jewish! His disciples where as well.Jesus was super holy and was a Jew. He got buriedin the Church of the Holy Sepulcher so that means it must be super holy for JEWS!
The Church of the Holy Sepulcher is the area where Jesus Christ was entombed for three days before He rose from the dead.
Many claim that Golgotha was on the grounds upon which the Church of the Holy Sepulcher was built. However the Holy Scriptures and the early church father Origen of the third century testify that it was an actual hill which looked like the top of a skull. There was never a hill where the Church of the Sepulcher was located. To see the only hill in the vicinity of Jerusalem which looks like the top of a skull refer to the link below. This hill is about 1000 yards from the Holy Sepulcher Church.

I take it you mean the Church of the Holy Sepulcher ,a marvellous experience. It is in Jerusalem. It was one of the proudest moments of my life to visit this Church on pilgrimage and to be offered the use of an altar.
Under orders from Emperor Constantine and his mother Helena construction on the original church began in the year 328.
It's the spot where Jesus was crucified, and is said to contain Jesus's grave.
No, this church was not even built until the fourth century, 300 years after the Bible's final book was completed by John in 96CE.
It does not appear that the Catacombs in Rome are directly related to the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem at all. The Catacombs are ancient burial places while the Sepulcher has a completely different story of it's own.
