Mormons believe that the Gospel contained within the Book of Mormon is the same as the Gospel contained within The Bible.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, more commonly known as the Mormons, have this belief. First let's quote Galatians 1:6 correctly. it states "1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel. 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ." The Book of Mormon agrees with the King James Version of the Bible as far as it is translated correctly. The Book of Mormon is a second witness to Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It goes hand in hand with the Bible and verifies the divinity of Jesus Christ. There is no deviation, confrontation, variation, between the Book of Mormon and the Bible, it does not contradict the Bible, it only verifies it. In fact, Isaiah is more fully understood and explained in it. If you read the full title of the Book of Mormon, it reads, "The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ". The Book of Mormon is simply additional records that adds to the Bible, written by prophets and others who left obeying a commandment of the Lord.

Another Answer: The Mormons have the book of Mormon because a man name Joseph Smith, who had ties to mysticism and the occult, Wrote it, claiming to be visited by an angel, and started the Mormon church. If the book of Mormon and Mormon beliefs were biblical, they wouldn't teach people will become gods and get their own planet or universe after they die, among other things. Joseph Smith has duped a lot of gullible people into following a false religion.

Who dislikes Mormons?

Many people dislike the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) or it's members. There is quite a large anti-Mormon movement, and quite often Mormon conferences and events are protested or picketed. Many religious organizations dislike the teachings of the Mormon church, but understand that it would be unfair to dislike the Mormons themselves simply based on some of their religious ideas. There are even many Christian churches that hold classes on how to argue against Mormons.
