WILTING means when a plant does not have adequate amount of water supply.

Therefore less water molecules will be present in the mesophyll cells to be split by the chlorophyll to be combined with CO2 to form C6H12O6(glucose).As a result photosynthesis will decrease. The plant may dry up and die

When plant cells lose their rigidity, they wilt. This wilting can be caused by many factors interfering with the uptake of water, including disease and problems with the soil structure.

yes as it loses water and it becomes a limiting factor without which photosynthesis cannot takes place.

When water becomes limited what generally happens to the rate of photosynthesis?

it stops and the plant wilts due to osmosis

What monitor the rate of photosynthesis in a plant?

carbon dioxide production

What could be used to monitor the rate of photosynthesis in a plant?

the consumation rate of oxigen (or better : the production rate).

What happens to plant if the rate of respiration becomes more than rate of photosynthesis?

The plant's fine - until it runs out of stored "food".

Which plant has more chlorophyll sun plant or shade plant?

the rate of photosynthesis actually doesn't depend on the amount of sun that each plant gets. It actually depends on the Genus and Species of the plant. Certain Genus plants have a high rate of photosynthesis. Ask on!

Does the plant type affect photosynthesis rate?

Yes, by quite a bit.

What would happen to the rate of photosynthesis if a plant was with ice water?

The rate will decline due to low temperature

What are some factors that could affect the amount of photosynthesis in a plant?

What abiotic factors could affect the rate of photosynthesis in a plant?

Is there a difference in photosynthesis rate between a plant placed in the dark vs another plant placed in the light?

nope, and yes see if you don't have the plant in the light, the plant won't have energy to start photosynthesis but when in light it does

aquatic plants flooding often leads to a decrease in the rate of photosynthesis among aquatic plants. . Why does a decreased rate of photosynthesis lead to a decrease in a plant population?

because plants need photosynthesis to live or they will die

What occurs when a plant loses water faster then it can replace it?

The plant is likely to close its stomata, the little breathing mouths (or holes) in the outer skin or epidermis of the leaf, to slow down the rate of transpiration. It is not always good to do this, because it also slows down the rate at which the plant can collect carbon dioxide to feed on. However, if the plant cannot get enough water to replace whatever water it loses through transpiration, then sooner or later it wilts. If it wilts too badly its leaves die and stop transpiring. If too much of that happens, the plant is likely to wilt and die too.

What factors can affect the rate of photosynthesis in a plant?

There are several factors.Temperature,CO2 concentration,H2O amound,light etc
