To learn about your religion and how to be a good member of it so you know what it was like for the one you worship and hopefully you don't do it to get in to your heaven but to do it and be a loving painful lived person and scientific speaking the universe is created by particles and science and hopefully we can determine that gods are real.

To worship as a community, to commemorate Jesus' resurrection which was on a Sunday, to contribute to the church as a member, to keep the Sabbath holy. For some people, this is the time set aside to remember God.

The Bible says to go to church on the seventh day which is Saturday. Read Exodus 20:8-11, and Genesis 2:2. Somewhere is Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John it says that Jesus died on Friday, rested on Saturday, and rose on Sunday. Some people say you should go to church on Sunday because that is the day Jesus rose, but that is not true. You should go to church on Saturdays.

...But most churches hold their services on Sunday! Some people count Monday as the first day of the week...when Genesis and Exodus were written, there were no churches!

The LDS people, otherwise known as Mormons, go to church every sunday because they believe that Jesus Christ created the heavens and the earth. He started on Monday...... he created everything on the earth and in the universe. He spent Monday through Saturday doing this. On sunday he rested from his work. That is why Mormons do not go shopping, play sports, or go to parties on sunday. Because they believe it is a rest day....... the day Jesus Christ rested from his work. For Mormons Sunday is a day to read he book of mormon, pray, and spend time with family.

[v. 26] For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. [v. 27] Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. [v. 28] But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

Paul had already been executed in Nero's persecution when Peter wrote this, and he had no reason to lie as he knew he was going to be executed soon as well.
