You should not walk on it, first of all. Most of the time my limbs (arms, legs) become numb when I have cut off circulation to them or pinched a nerve (?) by the way I am sitting or by an activity I am engaged in. Maybe you've been sleeping in the wrong position. Sleeping with you head on your arm, for example, can cut off the circulation through your arm, so therefor it goes numb. I'm not too familiar with the numb legs though, sorry. It may be an anxiety attack
