I doubt there is a single answer to this.
It could be control. It is an amazing way to control the emotions of a man, or perhaps two men. It could be the endorphine response resultant from a sexual act, but honestly I suspect that is less significant.
It could be from doubts about the intentions and fidelity of the new guy.
It could be just the devious and nasty way she was brought up. Maybe she needs to grow up and move beyond using sex as a weapon.
It could be really primal hormones telling her "propagate your genes".
It could be a desire to be victimized by two different uncaring and uncommitted men as a form of self-loathing or self-punishment.
Each person has to be in charge of their own behavior and self-control and emotional response.

You have to think back to why you broke up with your ex boyfriend and decide if he really is worth having a relationship with. Be very careful because if you break up with your present boyfriend to go back to your ex boyfriend you may well have lost a great guy in your present boyfriend.
