The color red is the longest wavelength in the visible light spectrum because the less energy a wave carries the longer the wavelength and red carries the least energy of all the colors in the visible spectrum
Red light is at the "low frequency" end of the spectrum of visible light. The reason it is there is because the other colors have higher frequencies. Or, said another way, the other colors have higher frequencies, and that leaves red as the color with the lowest frequency. The orange, yellow, green, blue and violet light have higher frequecies, respectively. This may sound like circular logic, but it's probably the best explanation for the way it is. The colors were always there, but we assigned the name red to the one on the "bottom" of the rainbow. That happened to be the one with the lowest frequency, and we didn't know about that (frequencies of light) until long, long after the names of the colors had been applied and had stuck.
It's not. All colors of light have the same speed when they're all
traveling through the same medium, but when they are separate, the red coloured light travels faster because the color itself atracts less particles or matter than other colors. the ray will be blocked by a smaller number of particles and so it travels faster.
it is well known that the red light relaxes every living being, and it also calms down the random-moving particles, so they`ll move slower and leaving more space for the light to travel.
Also, this color is used on the street signs, especially for the "not allowed" ones, so drivers will be relaxed and will drive slower.
Red
they both travel at the same speed ? :>)
Light is however the most fastest thing. But it has been concluded that it travells the fastest in vacuum.
a vacuum, since there is nothing for the light to hit and be slowed down. just out of interest, the slowest is frozen crystaline sodium, where light travels at 38mph
Light travels fastest in a vacuum.
Red
Red travels fastest Violet slowest.
they both travel at the same speed ? :>)
Experiments have been done and a red popsicle was found to melt the fastest. The dark popsicles actually melt faster than the light colors.
the fastest form of energy is light
I would tend to think red because most plants grow fastest in the morning. Also most school projects for children use red dye and water in a bag.
light is the fastest
Light is however the most fastest thing. But it has been concluded that it travells the fastest in vacuum.
no light is the fastest on earth
The fastest speed of light is in a vacuum place because nothing interrupt its motion.
Tachyon is the fastest thing ever because its slowest velocity is the speed of light! Light is the fastest thing that can be seen.
