Melanin in your skin (pigmentation cells) turns your skin dark, as a protection from absorbing too much Ultra-Violet radiation from the sun.
It is caused by sunburn, overexposure to sunlight.
A shadow.
You see, that part is the side of the moon that isn't facing the sun. Since it isn't facing the sun, no light touches it. Thus, it looks dark, considering the moonlight is really a reflection of sunlight that bounces of the moon.
Sunlight causes your skin to feel warm because the sun is very hot. The sun transmits heat and light energy to organisms on Earth.
Nighttime on the moon is cold because there's no sunlight to warm it and no atmosphere to trap the heat.Note: the far side of the moon isn't always dark.
it is because of the pigment in their skin. it can be hereditary or you can be dark skinned because you spend alot of time in the sunlight (or tanning bed)
Why is it important to perform a skin assessment on dark skinned individuals under indirect sunlight
Stay out of direct sunlight.
Depending on your genes, you can lose the amount of mellanin (skin pigmentation) over time due to a lack of Vitamin D which is what your body makes from the sunlight. Places like Iceland/Greenland I have read have to use lights similar to tanning beds in order to get the necessary light. Everyone requires some light for their body to function.
Black peoples skin is dark because their is an abundance of sunlight in most of Africa and their dark skin prevents too much absorption of vitamin D. White people's skin is light because in most of Europe there is alot less sunlight and the skin is light to help absorb as much vitamin D as possible.
no, it does'nt affect your skin color. sunlight does make yor skin dark, staying inside the house won't.
it causes people tolook older than what they really are. It also causes age spots and brown spots -- wear sunscreen in the summer. Sunlight makes you wrinkly and makes you look old wayy before your middle ages.
Because they are creatures of the dark and sunlight burns their skin, and if they stay out too much in sunlight they will die. Unless they have a magical item that protects them.
It makes skin light or dark this guy ^ is a complete idiot great answer mate thanks.... i kno thanks alot, i think they cause cancer that's the answer i wanted not" oh it makes the skin dark or light"
Skin colors evolved mostly due to climates. In hot sunny places such as Africa dark skin is beneficial because melanin, the compound that makes skin brown, absorbs sunlight and prevents UV rays from damaging the skin, a sort of natural sunscreen. In colder, less sunny places such as northern Europe light skin is an advantage because you need to absorb as much sun as possible to get enough vitamin D from sunlight. Darker skin takes more sun to produce the same amount of Vitamin D as light skin.
Skin color is determined by the amount/intensity of the sunlight affecting people where they lived over a long period. Dark skin is best in places where the sun is strong (the tropics) as it prevents the sunlight damaging the skin. Light skin is best in places where the sun is weak (the temperate regions) because sunlight needs to penetrate the skin to make vitamin "D" and dark skin prevents this penetration when the sun is weak. Therefore people with dark skin need to make sure that their diet contains extra vitamin D when living in temperate regions and light skinned people need to use sunscreen and cover up on tropical regions so that they do not burn.
transpiration in the dark and photosynthesis in sunlight.
