Yes, the y chromosome is critical for survival, for males at least. It contains the DNA (or genes) for the genetic make up of a male's body. No, I don't think so because Y chromosomes just dermine the sex. If it was critical to life then no girl would be alive because they don't have Y chromose.

Y chromosome truly determines sex. It contains SRY gene that produces TDF which makes sth to male. it not important for survival, just for prodactivity, since Y has came from X chromosome.

Technically, yes. The Y chromosome is the chromosome of a male organism. If the male has a mutation in sex chromosomes then he is often sterile and unable to reproduce. The Y chromosome is important to future generations of that organism. Without it, there would be no descendants of that exact organism.

Usually, no. A female human has the genotype XX, meaning she lives without the Y chromosome.

Women don't have a "Y" chromosome; the have two "X" chromosomes in that strand of DNA. Men have one X and one Y chromosome.

Why would the Y chromosome be unlikely to contain any of the genes that are absolutely necessary for survival?

The Y chromosome does not contain genes that are critical for human survival because it carries only the genes necessary for determining the sex of the child (specifically that of a male.) It does little else than direct the development of male traits. So, although it is necessary for reproduction, organisms born without Y chromosomes have the possibility of survival, while those born without X chromosomes have no possibility of survival.

Do candelaberas repel vampires?

As vampires do not exist it is unlikely a candelabra would be either necessary or required.

Do squids eat fish?

Yes they do. It is really unlikely but sharks can get past the ink that squid produces and can therefore eat it.

I think that is because nobody likes each other and doesn't know what to do.

Why is colorblindness found to be inherited into males more than females?

Most color deficiencies are sex linked, meaning the defective genes are on the sex chromosome. In this case, the X chromosome is affected. Since males only have one X chromosome, all males with this particular defective genes will have this condition. Females have 2 X's, it's unlikely that both X's have bad genes at the same time.

Does the x chromosome determine personality?

High unlikely. Personality is a complex trait which is probably a combination of genes (carried on more than just the X chromosome) and environment. What no one is certain of is the relative effect of each one. So, are genes more important in determining your personality than your environment (eg. your upbringing)? We don't know.

Is it safe to be on the streets in an automobile during a tornado explain?

No. An automobile is just about the worst possible place to be in a tornado. Vehicles can be easily overturned or tossed by tornadoes. In such cases survival is unlikely.

What are survival values of sickle cell anemia?

A single copy of the gene results in a person who is unlikely to develop full-blown sickle-cell anaemia, but has a strong resistance to malaria.

Absolutely, but it would depend upon the offense. It would be very unlikely to have an extradition request for something minor like speeding, etc.

Why is it necessary to have a goal or purpose before conducting a research?

Because otherwise you'd be researching at random, and you're unlikely to learn anything useful from that.

Can a state ban or place restrictions on an activity that is legal?

Alhough on the face of it, it seems unlikely - it is possible. More information is necessary about a specific situation.
