A prediction is more useful than a hypothesis because it is already based on prior observations, or a hypothesis. A hypothesis is just another suggestion about something. Predicting something because you have clues, is better than just a hypothesis, where you are just questioning something.
In the scientific method, the hypothesis is a guess at an answer to the problem proposed. However, it isn't a random guess. Between the hypothesis and problem is a step of gathering data. Then, based on your data, you postulate what the answer to the question is. It's a guess, as you don't know for certain, but it is educated, as you gather data prior to making a guess.
states what is likely to happen and makes logical sense
Because a hypothesis is an educated guess
It is basically an educated guess

Unlike a wild guess, a hypothesis is based on observations and it must be testable......:-) answer by hismejohn
Nothing. A hypothesis is just a guess as to a possible explanation of something. If it's wrong, it's wrong. No big deal. If you still desire to explain the thing, you should develop a new hypothesis.
no hypothesis is explicit because it is just a guess ~.~
A hypothesis is an educated guess where as an inference or prediction is just a guess with little knowledge behind your answer.
there is never really a wrong hypothesis because its basically just a guess....
If a hypothesis does not explain an observation, it is rejected. A hypothesis is basically just an educated guess, so it could be wrong, or right.
Yes, a hypothesis is an educated guess or a proposed explanation to a phenomenon. It is based on prior knowledge and observations and serves as a starting point for further investigation and experimentation.

A hypothesis is a guess made after research is done, while a guess is made before any research, without previous knowledge of the question.

a hypothesis is like a descriptive ideayou don't FORM one. it is just made for you to use, so USE IT. A HYPOTHESIS is a guess about some thing important or just about anything i guess.
"A hypothesis is an educated guess to attempt an explain an oberservation or answer a question." It's pretty simple, make an educated guess about an oberservation or question. A hypothesis isn't very reliable.
A hypothesis must be testable and able to be proved false because it is an educated guess based on other facts connected to the hypothesis. It must be testable so other scientists can agree with the hypothesis. It is not able to be provable because it is an educated guess.
