It also has to do with the fact that Easter is a "religious" holiday, as well as Christmas and technically Thanksgiving. The difference with Christmas being Paid- holiday and Easter not being paid is for the simple fact that Easter is a christian celebrated event to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ , thus the Government cant submit to one religion, therefore Easter Day cannot be labeled a Federal Holiday
