check the brake fuse under the bonnet usually a ten amp fuse
If a 1987 Chevy Suburban has lights and horn, but no ignition, gauges, radio, or interior lights it could be a ground wire problem. It is possible that there is a short somewhere. Also check the dome light for a possible water leak in the headliner.
A wire going to the battery broke off, when it was reconnected the gauges and lights on the gauges start working again, however the speedometer and the tachometer did not operate.
Difficult one this, can only take a guess. There may be a break in the instrument cluster printed circuit so that there is no 12v feed to the guages, then when lights are on the power to the panel lamps is starting the gauges up. Also, there could be a damaged/bent connector on the instrument multi-plug giving the same result.
Could be the sending unit or a problem with the wiring if electrical.
it could have to do with the preasure systems. or your gears may be grinding. go to your machanic and check it out :p
if you're talking about the stock gauges as in the tach or speedo, two options one stretched or pinched cables, two if your talking about the misc. bs lights that pop up as gauges probably a ground
blown fuse or blown fusible link.
It could, you need to have the codes checked to know possible causes.
My dashpanel lights stopped working in your Chevy Monte Carlo ss 2001 what could the problem be
Check the fuse for the instrument lights. Also there is a rheostat that is used to dim the instrument lights. If it is turned too far the lights will go out.
It could be, along with broken wires, unplugged connections, failed switches,
blown fuses
