they should interchange check all the electric hook ups on the transmission to make sure the match some of the newer ones are computer controled but 95 should not have this.

You can check the fluid in your 1995 Chevy Cavalier transmission with the transmission dipstick. The transmission dipstick will be on the left-hand side of the transmission and have a bright yellow handle.
If it is a 2.4 liter engine with dohc it does not have a dip stick... it is a sealed transmission.
