I don't know!! Hope so
NO! HR 4667 was signed by the president, however, HR 4667 only ties VA disability cola to social security cola. This formula uses the CPI (consumer price index) to rate inflation and give a cola. Unfortunately, there will not be an increase for 2010 or 2011. There were rumors and a hoax email going around saying HR 4667 called for a massive increase. This was not true and proved cruel.
HR 4667 was signed by President Obama on September 30, 2010 and is law. And, as usual, Sevice Connected disability pay increases will be posted when the cost of living increase for social security is announced, since the Veteran's disability increase is, by law, to be the same amount/percentage of COA Social Security gets. No big surprises here.
No Veterans service connected disability pay is not reported on your income tax return. You do receive a 1099 information form from the VA for the amount of your disability pay that youu receive during the year.
We were suppose to receive it July 29 but mine wasn't in my account when I woke up. Face it we got stiffed.
Means that they are going to review your file. Either to stop your disability or to get more information about your disability.
As of November 2010, there were 11,937 veterans in South Dakota who were receiving monthly disability compensation.
Its a Pickle!
