How can you make compost by using machines?

A Big compost pile. If for example you were cleaning out a horse barn, cow barn or chicken barn you could pile all the manure, old hay and straw using a skid loader. Make it a nice long row of compost about 4 to 6 feet high and 4 to 6 feet wide and as long as you want. Come back to the pile every 2 or 3 weeks and flip it with the skid loader to let more air into it. You will have nice compost in no time. If you want to have good compost you will need to push all your manure into a liquid pit. Then you will need to pump the liquid manure into a separator, which will make the manure have a moisture of 40-60%. This is then to be piled up in a stock pile until hauled to a field to be piled into windrows. You will pile it as high as your windrow turner is. Your then to check the temperature of the manure, when it reaches 145-165 Degrees you need to turn the pile with a windrow turner. Add water as needed to keep the compost between 40 and 60%. After a period of 90 days it should be ready. You will now take all the compost in the wind row and pile it in a stock pile, let it sit for 30 days to cure. After this 30 days it then can be marketed after you get the soil samples from it.

What is the problem adding scraps of meat to your compost heap and what should you do with the meat before adding it?

If you add meat scraps to a decaying compost pile, your compost will stink and attract unwanted animals especially rodents [Cat Lovers take a paw on the back]. I am now starting a Bokashi Compost for composting Meat, bones, eggs, etc. Rather than decaying, it ferments in a bucket. Because of it fermenting it is not suppose to stink and it is suppose to compost faster. It starts out in a bucket to ferment then is transferred into the ground buried where it decomposes. The system I am doing is with newspaper and Whey.

Benefits of a Composting Bin?

THE BENEFITS OF A COMPOST BIN OVER A COMPOST PILECompost bins are a great way to reap all of the benefits of composting with less of the problems.Composting has become more popular in recent years, but the idea of having a pile of decomposing waste in the back yard is a turn off for many. A compost bin has many benefits over a traditional compost pile, and is simple to use. CostThe cost of starting a compost bin is actually much cheaper than a person might think. Any large plastic container with a lid will work. A large outdoor trash can with wheels is ideal. The only modifications you will need to make are to drill a few holes in the sides and bottom. For about $15-$30 and a few minutes of your time you are ready to get started.Keeps Pests OutPerhaps the biggest issue that people have with a compost pile is that pests are constantly scavenging it and making a mess of the yard. A compost bin is a closed container which prevents pests from being able to access it. The bin is also less likely to attract some of the larger pests that might flock toward a traditional compost heap.ContainmentIn order for compost to do its job, it needs to decompose quickly. Because the compost bin keeps all of the waste contained in one area, the heat inside will speed up the composition process. Additionally, the lid will keep out most of the rain to prevent excess moisture. Also, with all of the compost in one bin, your back yard might be a little bit more attractive. The bin will replace the traditional pile of waste that needs to be hidden in a far corner of the yard.PortabilityIf your compost bin is made in a container with wheels, then it can be moved around. Sure, portability is not one of the first things people look for when thinking about compost, but it can actually come in handy. If you are one that uses the decomposed organic matter as a fertilizer for your garden, then you can now move the bin to your garden to apply the compost. You don't have to go back and forth between the pile and the garden any longer.

How is a compost pile helpful for the state of the environment worldwide?

That it decreases the number of landfills (and the amount of anaerobic decomposition and production of greenhouse gases) and that it improves soil and soil food web quality are ways in which compost piles are helpful right now to the state of the environment worldwide. Compost piles let carbon- and nitrogen-rich recyclable materials decompose in the presence of air, heat, light, micro-organisms, and moisture so that fresh, nutrient-rich humus may be produced to aerate, amend, fertilize, and moisturize soil (and soil-dwelling animal and plant organisms).
