I have this exact same problem! I do soccer, swimming, softball, tennis, and track but my real passion is gymnastics. If you love something sometimes you have to make sacrifices. i had to give up softball so i could improve at gymnastics. Try to do gymnastics in between sports you just can't live without, and before you want to get involved in something new ask yourself if it's really worth it or you think you will love it as much as gymnastics. I know it's hard to do this and possibly give up something you have been working at for a long time but trust me its worth it. i have improved so much at gymnastics it's a really great sport. If you absolutely can't give up anything condition yourself until in between sports when you can do gymnastics. practice floor skills on carpet or grass, do push ups or practice the spits. It will pay off I promise. Good luck with gymnastics!
I agree with practicing the splits, they are VERY VERY important. A lot of gymnastics involves the splits. If you plan on getting into gymnastics seriously, i would recomend push ups as well. If you plan on doing just tumbling (things on floor) then you should probably do more of leg strengthing things. Gymnastics is a very big commitment (speeling?), and a great sport! My sisters and I are involved in it and we all LOVE IT!!!! :) I know u will love it if you choose to go with gymnastics! (The difference between gymnastics and tumbling is that gymnastics involves balance beam, bars, vault, and floor. Tumbling is more of things just on floor.)
If you're looking for a quick and simple astronomy demonstration or science fair project, you can demonstrate eclipses with a bright light, a basketball and a softball. Place the basketball on a stepstool or stand, and shine the light on it from about 10 feet away. (If you have a globe, it works even better.) Move the softball between the light and the basketball. The shadow of the softball on the basketball is like the shadow of the Moon hitting the Earth, in a solar eclipse. The softball shadow only covers a small area of the basketball. Then move the softball into the shadow of the basketball. The basketball shadow is big enough to completely block the light from hitting the softball, like the Moon in a lunar eclipse.
it really depends what sport you like better, in my opinion i would do basketball because it is physically active and you can meet a whole lot of people and trust me it is exciting, also i don't know that much about gymnastics so i would do basketball
They were in the Olympics in 2008...that was their last year. Softball is no longer in the Olympics because the U.S. and China got too good and they are the only countries that win because no other country really has softball or baseball as a main sport.
Soccer, gymnastics, hockey/field hockey, ice skating, basketball, and almost any other sport other than football. Well I think girls can play any sports that they want to. EVEN FOOTBALL.
He invented indoor baseball, which they later renamed into softball.
You don't have to, just train really, really hard. Just have a goal and go for it.
If you take gymnastics you could become really famous if you get good enough to compete in the Olympics or other events.
Aside from the basic "softball is for girls," not really. This is mainly due to the fact that baseball overshadows softball since it came before softball.
you just have to be really good
Nobody really knows for sure when gymnastics first came around. ALAINA: i know they had gymnastics in Egyptian times!
Theres not really an answer
Cheer is much easier if you have a gymnastics background. Cheer doesn't really make gymnastics easier though.
