I am going to assume you want to become a scientist. First, do you know what kind of scientist you would like to be? Do you really have a love of science? What is your motivation? You can take a vocational satisfaction test to see what professions you would be happiest in. This type of test matches your answers to people who are happiest in their chosen profession and gives you an idea what would be most satisfactory to you. A scientist nearly always means a Ph.d in a scientific field. That usually takes two to four years more than bachelor's degree. Are you willing to spend that much time? Can you afford to do it? Do you want to teach, do research, or become an expert in one field.? All of these things must be considered and planned out. Finally, you must consider what income and salary you will be making.
